Several film studio representatives, in search of a new success, were immediately seduced by this &#8220;modern day fairy tale&#8221;.\r\n\r\nUltimately, it was Dreamworks who beat out the competition. Marc learned the news when an agent called him from Los Angeles at 3:00 am to announce a phone call from Steven Spielberg. Marc didn&#8217;t believe it, everything had happened so quickly ; he put down the receiver, turned his phone around, and told himself that if it was in the same position when he woke in the morning, then he hadn&#8217;t been dreaming.\r\n\r\nA few phone conversations soon followed, then a meeting in the fall of 1999 in New York with the father of E.T., who was taking an active role in the development of the film.\r\n\r\n<em>If Only it Were True<\/em> became a cinematic reality in 2004. <strong>The film &#8212; entitled <em>Just Like Heaven<\/em> &#8212; was produced by Steven Spielberg, directed by Mark Walters, and starred Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo.<\/strong>\r\nMarc visited the set in Los Angeles to meet Lauren and Arthur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"671\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marclevy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/marc-levy-ruffalo-2-1024x671.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.marclevy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/marc-levy-ruffalo-2-1024x671.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.marclevy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/marc-levy-ruffalo-2-300x197.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.marclevy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/marc-levy-ruffalo-2-768x504.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.marclevy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/marc-levy-ruffalo-2-1536x1007.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.marclevy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/marc-levy-ruffalo-2.jpg 1647w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elizabeth is a nurse.
